Zhong Biao's works are not pictorial, but based on the relationship between images, or on the visual presentation of misplaced time. His works communicates this feeling of misplacement, contradictory and impossible fusion. He uses the form of painting within painting; He no longer seeks to create certain logic, but willfully emphasize the illogical, he seeks to melt the dimension of time into the displacement of space and exchange with color. He puts his finger on the contradictions of the present reality; his experience may not be a universal one, but it may actually and more closely resembles the unique existential experience in the process of modernization and urbanization in China.
