1954 Graduated from Nice University in literature studies 
  

Martial Raysse works on paintings (the Carnival), sculptures (Assas Square) but also on installation (neon) and films (the Great Departure). In the 90's Martial Raysse turned the course of his art as for his search for purity that will lead him to Figurative art.

1958 First solo exhibition at the Vieil-Olivier Gallery in Beaulieu-sur-mer (South of France)
1960  Member of the New Realism Group
1968 Teacher at the National Superior School of Decorative Arts in Paris
1982 Receive the Great National Price of Painting
2000 First solo exhibition in China (Beijing)
